Our Story

Hey there!

We’re Bianca and Don

A husband and wife team from South of Melbourne, Victoria, with a passion for preserving handcraft through our ranges of beautifully created embroidery products. While Don keeps us grounded as the ‘thinker’ that keeps the wheels underneath our business machine working, Bianca is the creative force behind our products.

Bianca manages the design studio, taking meticulous care of your order and ensuring nothing leaves our storefront unless it has her seal of approval. Here’s our story,

Learning I was expecting our daughter was a moment I’ll never forget. Don and I immediately began dreaming of the life we would create for her. We spent hours writing wish lists of all the things we’d purchase to give her the best start to a beautiful life.

Then, at the height of our excitement, the pandemic hit. Lockdowns quickly turned from distant ‘what if’s to harsh reality, and shopping for our babe became a burden as supply chains came to a grinding halt and panic buying meant shelves were left bare for months.

As time went on, even just getting out to the shops to snag the bare necessities felt like a mission.

Having been a creative person my whole life, I began to think about ways to get around the new limitations I was facing in sourcing beautiful products for the rapidly growing tiny dancer in my belly.

The day I stumbled across embroidery, I knew I’d found something special. I’d always loved the way embroidery lifts a product and gives it a special handmade touch. Embroidery is a slow craft, and to me it’s always felt like something which represents a long and loving process of creating something unique and special.

From here, the fire to create began burning within me. Supported by my loving husband, I took a deep dive into learning the craft. I spent hours researching and absorbing as much as I could about the process of creating top quality embroidered products.

From here, I began looking at suppliers to source safe, premium garments and linenware to use as a base for the ranges which were quite literally weaving their way into being from my mind.

Having engaged my suppliers, invested in top of the range embroidery equipment, and donated some lovingly failed practice runs to my rag collection, I felt ready to share my craft with the world.

To our surprise,

Our customer base grew quickly as mothers from around the nation

Began falling in love with our beautifully crafted babywear. Our homewares were a hit too, with word-of-mouth recommendations leading to large orders from families near and far.

Given this growth, it’s really no surprise that it took no time at all for our ranges to grow and for us to begin exploring commercial uniforms and bulk orders. And so, our custom design studio was born, and our reputation as ‘dream makers’ was born.

Just like our beautiful girl, we’re growing every day and we love the opportunity this business has given us in sharing our designs with families both here and across the world.
